We got up early and took the 9:12 train to Berchtesgaden.

Luckily we were able to leave our big bags in a locker at the train station and we didn't have to lug them up to the top of the mountain. Once we got to Berchtesgaden, we had to take two different buses up to the base of Hitler's Eagle's Nest.
The ride up was crazy, 1 lane road, lots of turns and some amazing views. Once you get to the base of Hitler's Eagle's Nest, you then walk down this long tunnel and take this elevator up to the house. Once up there, the views were incredible. It was absolutely beautiful. We ate our lunch up at the top, and hung out for a little. We also bought ice cream and beer at the top, we were pretty content!

We then made our way back and took the 3:20pm train to Munich. We found our hostel, the Meininger City Center hostel, pretty easily. We had an 8 person room, but soon found out that it was actually two private four person rooms with their own bathrooms. We even had a tv! Our two roommates were girls from Connecticut, the town next to Andy! Small world. They were great roommates, quiet and low key.

We went and got some food and then watched some of the soccer game. Germany won today, the celebrating on the streets was crazy.
We are about a week into our trip, and are having a great time. We have seen a ton, walked many miles and had some great weather!
