Day 10 - Interlaken

We got up early and went to the train station. We were looking to take a day trip, the hostel recommended a place but it was $98 a ticket! So we chose to do Interlaken for $50 a piece instead. Still expensive, but at least cheaper!
The views from the Train to Interlaken.

We spent the day in Interlaken. We walked around for a little, ate lunch by the river, read facing the mountains(we are addicted to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series by Stieg Larsson. So good!), and then went on a long nature walk to see the lake. We walked probably close to four miles, at least....it seemed like forever!

Trying to figure out how much longer we had to walk....

we made it.

Amazing view.

We took the 2pm train back to Bern. We stopped at the grocery store and bought some pasta, bread, beers, wine, chocolates and some breakfast for the next morning. It was much cheaper than eating out! We went back to the hostel and made dinner in the kitchen.

our feast.

We sat in the common room for the rest of the evening, playing cards and watching soccer. We are a huge fan of this family atmosphere at this place, it is clean and really quiet and relaxing!
